PCR
Nucleic Acid Amplification Tests (NAAT)

The nucleic acid amplification test (NAAT) of COVID-19 detects COVID’s RNA in the blood. The the most common of the many NAATs is an RT-PCR test. These COVID-19 tests are often considered the most accurate and sensitive. Test results typically yield within 24 hours at our clinic but may take up to to 72 hours.

Rapid Antigen Tests

The rapid antigen tests are immunoassays, a type of test where an nasal swab is taken at the office or in your car (i.e, point of care). If COVID antigen is present, a positive test result will be yielded. Test results typically yield within 15 minutes but may take up to an hour. Consider this test if your symptoms are minor or have not advanced significantly.
